Owner
The owner is the person responsible for an asset. The owner also processes requests for download approval. For more information, see Download Approval.
Responsibility for an asset can be transferred to another user, see the Chapter Change Asset's Ownership. Note that depending on the settings and permissions assigned, other users may be able to edit the attributes. In addition, the owner receives a notification in the following situations:

If an asset is in the workflow for including it in a VDB that requires approval (upload approval), the owner also receives notification regarding the approval or rejection of the approval request.

If this is set in your system: The owner receives a message if the validity of an asset expires.

The owner is informed if the asset is handed over to a different user.
